Dr. James is an internist and informaticist who is responsible for clinical vision and consistency across Evolent Health’s Identifi platform. Jesse previously served as the Senior Medical Officer for Meaningful Use in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT). Before joining ONC-HIT, Dr. James served as Director, Product Innovation and Associate Medical Director at Inovalon Inc., where he contributed clinical and strategic guidance to multiple quality and resource management product lines and clinical leadership for the Product Innovation group. Jesse is a general medicine internist who trained in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Memorial Hospital at Chapel Hill. Prior to UNC, Jesse attended Yale University School of Medicine and Yale School of Management where he earned his MD and MBA. Dr. James received his bachelor’s degree in biological science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
