Our residency has been consistently top-ranked in the nation, because we provide exceptional support and an integrated curriculum in state-of-the-art facilities. Our education efforts don’t end with our residency: here at Family Medicine, we also provide continuing support for medical student education and fellowships in clinical practice, research, sports medicine and preventative medicine

Last year the UNC Family Medicine Residency program was ranked number two in the nation by US News & World Report. But we are so much more than our rankings. We strive to provide our residents with the highest quality clinical education available. It is also our goal to help young doctors learn to listen and understand their patients — we teach them what it means to practice in a patient-centered medical home.
