All of our residents have been heroes in the last several weeks, taking on whatever public health challenges are presented in any capacity that they can. Dr. Cameron Coleman, current Preventive Medicine Residency co-Chief, has been on the front-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic response with Orange County Health and Emergency Services as a part of the “Strike Team” that is shoring up the defenses at nursing homes and residential facilities. The team visits between 4-11 facilities daily, checking safety protocols and rooming situations, making residents aware of important PPE guidelines, and making testing available where it is needed.
