National Nurses Week is celebrated from May 6th – May 12th, and honors nurses around the country for the incredible work they do in helping and caring for others.
Here at UNC Family Medicine, we are extremely grateful for our nurses and the dedication they have for our patients and our practice. Their skill, warmth, and professionalism in all they do makes the Family Medicine Center a special and welcoming place for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Our nurses are also one of the main reasons we continue to operate smoothly and confidently during these challenging times. We depend on the leadership and flexibility of our providers in order to continue serving our patients and community in the best way possible as we face this pandemic together, and that is exactly what our nurses provide with each changing day.
Please join us in saying a heartfelt “thank you” to nurses everywhere for the work they do. Their choice to become a nurse reflects their inherent compassion and care for others. As our own Denise Littlejohn, RN, puts it, “When you’re a nurse, you know that every day you will touch a life or a life will touch yours.”
THANK YOU to our amazing Family Medicine Nurses!
