Biographical Information
Dr. Hollowell is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for patients in numerous settings including the UNC Family Medicine Center at South Durham, UNC Hillsborough Hospital, and UNC Chatham Hospital. She is a native of eastern North Carolina; however, she has lived in the Triangle for over a decade. She attended UNC for her undergraduate studies and medical school. She completed her family medicine residency training at UNC as a member of the Federally Qualified Health Center track, followed by a Career Development fellowship as Chief Resident. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring downtown Durham with her husband and son, thrift shopping, crossword puzzles, and visiting the beaches of NC.

Inpatient medicine, medical education, chronic disease management, women’s health/prenatal care, rural/underserved populations, and addiction medicine.
