Resident Physician

Hi! My name is Rebecca Begley, and I’m from a tiny rural town in South Carolina called Due West. I studied biology at Davidson College, and I worked for two years at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Durham before attending UNC Chapel Hill for medical school. My husband and I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, watching birds, drinking tea, and exploring North Carolina.

During medical school, I participated in the FIRST program.  Having grown up in a small town, I want to help address the shortage of primary care providers in rural parts of North Carolina, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help underserved communities during residency and beyond. I love working with patients of all ages, and I’m thrilled to be part of UNC Family Medicine!
