UNIVERSITY TRACK RESIDENT
Hey there! I’m Caitlyn and I am originally from Harrisonburg, Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. I attended the University of Virginia for undergraduate where I studied Environmental Sciences and Biology. After graduating from college, I completed a graduate program through Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA. I scribed and worked in the area before starting medical school at VCU School of Medicine!
I have always had an interest in Family Medicine, strongly stemming from the fact that both of my parents are Family Physicians! I was lucky enough to be a part of a Family Medicine Scholars Track during my medical education which helped me find my passions within Family Medicine. I am interested in full spectrum medicine which is what drew me the most to UNC! My hope is to leave residency being able to care for any person at any point in their life. This program provides such wonderful opportunities to explore the diversity within Family Medicine. My interests (as of now) include women’s health and perinatal health, lifestyle medicine, and addiction medicine.
Outside of medicine I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family. I love being outdoors with my partner, doing game nights or tv show watch parties with friends, or reading at home on my couch!
