UNIVERSITY TRACK RESIDENT
Hi! My name is Delia, and I grew up in Raleigh, NC. I went to Lynchburg College in Virginia where I studied biomedical science and was a member of the women’s soccer team. I spent my gap year training scribes at VCU in Richmond, Virginia where I was able to gain exposure to a wide variety of specialties and decided that I wanted to pursue Family Medicine.
I was fortunate come back to North Carolina and be closer to home for medical school at UNC. While at UNC, I was accepted into the FIRST program which allowed me to complete medical school in three years with conditional acceptance into the UNC Family Medicine Residency Program. After residency, I hope to combine my passion for athletics and caring for underserved populations through pursuing a fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Outside of work I enjoy playing soccer, biking, attending sporting events, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
