UNIVERSITY TRACK RESIDENT
Hi there! My name is Gabrielle. I was born and raised in St. Louis, and I attended the University of Missouri-Columbia (M-I-Z), where I earned my bachelor’s in biochemistry in 2016. After graduating, I worked in EMS in St. Louis, which was pivotal in fueling my drive to continue pursuing a career in medicine. After completing my post-baccalaureate at Temple University in 2020, I worked as a quality assurance specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs while applying to medical schools.
I chose VCOM-Auburn (WDE!) for its osteopathic philosophy, which resonates with my patient-care values. Clinical rotations revealed my passion for variety in patient care settings, leading me to family medicine. While in medical school, I was involved in SNMA, ACOOG, Students for LGBTQ+ Health, and I was a VCOM ambassador. I attended a medical mission trip in the Dominican Republic, where I provided medical care in a rural community alongside other VCOM students.
I chose UNC for its renowned excellence and the profoundly welcoming community I experienced during the interview process. I am thrilled to train in an environment that will nurture all my interests.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy women’s basketball, track and field, college football, crafting, baking, and pilates at SolidCore.
