Hey y’all. Though I was born in China, I grew up in North Carolina and consider myself a Tarheel through and through. I am what they call a lifer. I went to UNC – Chapel Hill for undergrad where I studied Biology and Anthropology. Afterwards, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique teaching chemistry and computers. I then made my way out to the west coast for a couple years doing research in mitochondria biology. However, I finally found my way back home to UNC for medical school. During this time, I was fortunate to be able to obtain my MPH (also from UNC).
I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue my education at UNC Family Medicine. I was drawn to the full scope training and the amazing and passionate faculty. My professional interests include women’s health, underserved populations, and population health.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Shout out to my super stellar husband and son. In my nonabundant free time as a resident, I enjoy going out and trying new restaurants, cooking, and binge-watching TV shows on Netflix.
