FQHC TRACK RESIDENT: SILER CITY

Hello! My name is Leah. I grew up in Silver Spring, MD and had been working my way up the East Coast for school and work (PhillyNYCBoston) before doing a 180 to come to UNC. I am super excited not only to escape the New England winters but also to be in a program where I can receive full spectrum training while also pursuing my specific interests in HIV primary care, LGBTQ+/gender affirming care, reproductive justice, healthcare for people who use drugs, and migrant healthcare, all while getting the opportunity to practice in a rural Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and learn Spanish!

In my free time I enjoy running, cooking, crafting, and singing/playing ukulele. I also have lofty goals of expanding my gardening skills beyond a few pots once I get my act together to pull up the 4+ year unused garden plot in my backyard!

I hope to make North Carolina my home for many years to come and look forward to continuing to get to know the communities in Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, Siler City and beyond!
