Assistant Professor

Biographical Information

Dr. Straub received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine (2012-2016) and completed family medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2016 – 2019). She then completed an additional year of training in office-based procedures. She currently serves as the Medical Director of the UNC Family Medicine Center at Carraway Village where she enjoys seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds. She has developed a passion for women’s health including the menopause transition and has received her certification as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. She also enjoys office procedures and performs these regularly at the UNC Family Medicine Center at Chapel Hill (Manning Drive). She is very active in the UNC School of Medicine, teaching multiple medical school courses, contributing to the future healthcare workforce.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, spending time with her family, and watching her son Aiden grow up 😊.
