Resident Physician

Hi, can’t wait to meet you!  I was born in Miami and then raised here in NC, just outside of Raleigh.  After graduating high school, I followed in my older sister’s footsteps and became a Tar Heel, majoring in Biology and Chemistry.  After four amazing years at UNC, I moved to Boston and worked as a Care Manager at Dovetail Health in order to gain more knowledge about the health care system before applying to medical school.  After working for a year, I could not resist coming back to what feels like home to start at UNC School of Medicine.

While applying to places for training, I searched for places that reminded me of my time at UNC SOM, learning from the amazing faculty and residents at UNC Family Medicine from very early on.  Although I came across many great programs, I am beyond excited to able to continue my training and become a member of the community which I had admired for so long.  I am particularly excited to continue to explore my interests in women’s health, new models of care, and undeserved care & advocacy.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, going out dancing or doing trivia with friends, and cooking up new foods (please pass along any recipes you have!).  Oh, and of course, I’m all in for anything and everything Carolina sports
