Biographical Information
Dr. Duffy is originally from North Carolina. She was inspired to go into family medicine during her time at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, with the goal of providing comprehensive care to the people of NC, particularly those in rural communities. She attended UNC Chapel Hill for residency training and then completed a Chief Residency fellowship in 2022-2023. She is currently Assistant Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program, overseeing the residency training track at a federally qualified health center in Prospect Hill, NC. There, she combines her interests in medical education, practicing full-spectrum primary care in both English and Spanish.
Areas of Interest
Dr. Duffy is particularly interested in medical education, specifically training learners to work in rural areas in North Carolina and provide language-concordant care to Spanish-speaking patients. Additionally, she continues to practice both hospital medicine and perinatal care at UNC Hospitals. Outside of work, she enjoys all of the outdoor activities NC has to offer as well as exploring new local restaurants with friends and family.
