Biographical Information
Sharon Hull is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana and from there started and ran a solo, rural private practice in southern Illinois. She joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine with administrative, research, teaching and clinical practice roles. In 2007, she was recruited to Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, where she held multiple roles, including Chair of the Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences department and Medical Director of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Collaborative.
Dr. Hull joined Duke in April, 2013 as Division Chief of Family Medicine. She sees patients while overseeing clinical and educational activities in the Family Medicine Center and building research capacity within the Division.
Areas of Interests
Dr. Hull’s interests include women’s health, community health, access to health care, and health issues affecting the LGBT community.
