Biographical Information
Dr. Pierce is a native Arkansan. She grew up on a farm in Quitman, Arkansas, with her parents and younger sister. She is a first-generation college graduate and is the first person in her extended family to pursue a career in medicine. She attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and later attended medical school at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 2020, she moved to North Carolina for Family Medicine Residency training at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and later completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Duke University and the Durham VA Medical Center. She now calls Hillsborough, NC home, where she lives with her husband, young daughter, and two dogs. She is so excited to be returning to UNC—as her passion is providing comprehensive primary care services – particularly to those aged 65 years and over. As a new parent, she is also excited to again take care of pregnant patients and newborns.
