The UNC Tobacco Treatment and Weight Management Programs

Since 2008, the UNC Tobacco Treatment Program (formerly the Nicotine Dependence Program) at Family Medicine has provided leadership for implementing comprehensive tobacco use treatment services, education and training, and dissemination of resources for promoting tobacco-free communities.

Since its inception in 2015, the UNC Family Medicine Weight Management Program has offered behavioral counseling to help people with greater risk for weight-related health problems lose weight, lead healthier lives and maximize their well-being.
