Cecile Skrzynia trained at the Medical College of Virginia and has been working at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in the Adult and Cancer Genetics Program. She is the Director of Genetic Counseling Services in the departments of Genetics and Medicine. She was since the beginning very interested in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, specifically in the ethical issues associated with genetic testing.

This is Cecile’s second career, the first being research in molecular genetics. Her training brought her from France to Chapel Hill where she lives with her husband enjoying all that this area has to offer.
