Chandler Douglas earned his B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2008 and his M.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2012 from East Carolina University. Chandler has done a variety of research from working with nematodes to determine the lethality of heavy metals to most recently using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for rapid phenotypic analysis of Switchgrass. He is currently a Coordinator working for the Clincal Genome (ClinGen) Resource team and directly with Dr. Lisa Kurtz. Even though he is new to human genetics, he looks forward to learning as much as he can and helping the team in any manner he can.

In his free time, he enjoys hanging with his family (wife – Taylor, daughter – Connor, and his white Labrador – Baxter), watching and playing sports, and playing games of all kinds.
