Dannie graduated with a B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill in August 2017 while majoring in Biology and Philosophy with minor in Chemistry. His undergraduate research spanned studying the response of Manduca sexta to heat shock and treatment of mice with cuprizone to induce multiple sclerosis. He is currently a biocurator working on curations for novel-gene disease associations for ClinGen.
