Krunal Amin is an undergraduate student at UNC Chapel Hill (Class of 2016) pursuing a B.S. in Quantitative Biology, B.A. in Economics, and a minor in Chemistry. He first joined the Berg lab in Fall 2014, and has since worked on classifying germline variants as a part of the UNCSeq initiative. In particular, he is interested in determining the clinical utility of germline-DNA sequencing in patients with cancer. Previously, Krunal has spent time volunteering in eyesight clinic outreaches throughout rural areas of Ghana, and has also worked as a health services research assistant at the Stanford Cancer Institute. In the future, he hopes to pursue a joint MD/MBA degree.
