Linran Zhou is an undergraduate of the Class of 2015 studying biology. He first joined the Berg lab in January of 2012, working under the supervision of Dr. Milko. He was involved with a project investigating the APC2 gene, a homologue of APC believed to predispose for risk of Lynch syndrome. He is also currently involved in a project confirming and evaluating predicted variants in polyposis patients. He has worked to optimize many PCR protocols to improve the quality of sequencing data and has used Sequencher (Gene Codes Corporation, Ann Arbor, MI) to search for possible variants in the samples.
