After spending time playing rugby in New Zealand, he worked several years in population health consulting and technology development for a large health IT vendor where he developed an interest in clinical applications of genetics brought about by advancement in diagnostic capabilities of next generation sequencing. At the Berg Lab, he now works in bioinformatics and computational biology for the NCGENES and NCNEXUS projects. In his free time, Tim enjoys the outdoors, health and fitness, and, being a recent transplant to the state, exploring all that North Carolina has to offer.
