May Flowers graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in December 2018 with a B.A. in Biology. Throughout her undergraduate experience, she was attracted to research science specifically involving human genetics. In the latter part of her education, she also became involved in bioinformatics and computational biology with an emphasis on genetic sequencing. This led her to join the UNC Berg lab as a member of the ClinGen undergraduate curation pipeline.
May is currently working in biocuration for ClinGen in the Berg Lab at UNC. She is excited to contribute to the ongoing work in the ClinGen project while continuing to gain knowledge for a graduate education in Bioinformatics.
