Congratulations to Aziz Sancar, winner of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Aziz shares the award with Paul Modrich and Thomas Lindahl for groundbreaking studies of DNA repair mechanisms. Read more on the UNC website.

Dr. Bob Duronio, Professor of Biology and Director of the Curriculum in Genetics and Molecular Biology from 2003 until 2012, was inducted into the Frank Porter Graham Honor Society, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to graduate education.
