Kristine Barnette ’07, received the Louise Ward Excellence in Teaching Award from the Division of Clinical Laboratory Science. The award is presented annually to a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching. Barnette is the manager of the division’s student laboratory.

The Daily Tar Heel recently featured Genevieve Lowry Cole, the first American Indian to graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill. Cole graduated from our program medical technology, now a laboratory science program in the Division of Clinical Laboratory Science.

J. Charles Jennette, MD, the Kenneth M.
