Both programs combine academic preparation with direct field experience in many different public and private mental health counseling and rehabilitation counseling settings, thus providing students with a strong applied base in service delivery that is grounded in current evidence-based practices, theory and research.
By the end of their first fall semester, students will identify their specialty track. Students can also pursue a dual-track option. Options include:
- Developmental Disabilities, or;
- Psychiatric Disabilities, or;
- Dual track of study
