Camryn Sprouse is a 2nd year DPT student at UNC-Chapel Hill. She grew up in Morristown, TN and attended the University of Tennessee where she received her B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in Biological Sciences. During her time in college, she worked as a supervisor for RecSports that overlooked the health and wellness of thousands of UT students and staff, volunteered as a mentor for the FUTURE program that provides an opportunity for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to receive a college degree, and worked as a PT Tech for Knoxville Physical Therapy that treated patients with chronic conditions. Currently, she serves as Co-Chair of the Service Committee of the Student Physical Therapy Association (SPTA), leader of the Department of Health Sciences division of Interprofessional Practice and Education (DHE IPEP), and as secretary for Allied Health Ambassadors (AHA). She is passionate about interprofessional collaboration and service learning to increase the focus of wholistic patient care. In addition, she works with a community member diagnosed with MS. She is excited and honored to be recognized as a Neuro STEP-UP scholar.
