New Faculty

Dr. William Hoole joined the Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences faculty as an Assistant Professor in January 2014. Dr. Hoole earned his BS from Middle Tennessee State University in 2001 and his AuD from UNC in 2007. In addition to serving patients at the UNC Hearing and Communication Center, his academic responsibilities include course instruction and practicum coordination for audiology graduate students. Dr. Hoole is a licensed audiologist in both North and South Carolina and a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). His research interests include traditional and implantable hearing technologies, professional ethics and industry involvement in clinical education, mitigating socioeconomic barriers for accessing amplification, and societal awareness of abuse among individuals with communicative disorders.

Promotion

Lisa Domby was promoted to Associate Professor in the Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences, effective June 11, 2014.
