Dr. Homeister’s cardiovascular research laboratory is in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and the UNC McAllister Heart Institute at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Our research interests lie at the intersection between vascular disease, glycobiology, inflammation, and thrombosis. Dr. Homeister is Director of the Pathobiology and Translational Science Graduate Program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Admission to the program is through the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program of the Graduate School. Dr. Homeister is also faculty of the Integrated Vascular Biology Program, the UNC Clinician-scientist Training Program in Cardiovascular Medicine and the Graduate Training Program in Translational Medicine.
