Alexander Tanas is a medical student at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine with a background in quality improvement research through the UNC Trauma Division. His prior research experience spans interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, and polymer physics.
Beyond his scientific work, Alex integrates public health and global medicine perspectives, completing an electrophysiology elective in Amman, Jordan, to deepen his understanding of equitable care delivery across diverse settings.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys surfing, painting, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. His career goals center on expanding access to minimally invasive therapies and cultivating creative solutions within medical practice.
