Anthony Guzzo is a second-year medical student from Cary, North Carolina. He earned his B.A. in Neuroscience from Rice University in Houston, Texas. While in Houston, he became interested in Quality Improvement through his work as a volunteer EMT, where he collaborated with his EMS agency’s administrative leadership and medical directors to identify areas for improvement, implement changes, and evaluate their effectiveness.
Through CLQS, he hopes to expand on this experience by learning more about the systems physicians use to design and carry out successful QI/QA initiatives. Outside of medical school, Anthony enjoys trying new foods, reading, and spending time with his cat.
