Dr. Strickler is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Hillsborough Hospital and a President of UNC Chatham.  Previous roles at the Medical Center include serving as Associate Chief Nursing Officer and interim Chief Nursing Officer.  His previous tenure at the Medical Center was as the Clinical Nurse Director responsible for Emergency Services at UNC Medical Center.  His clinical background is as a Registered Nurse and Paramedic with extensive experience in Emergency, Trauma and Transport Nursing.  He also has a passion for education and professional development having served in several capacities to include being adjunct faculty at UNC’s School of Nursing and UNC’s Gilling’s School of Global Public Health.  In addition to his bachelor’s degree in nursing, he has a Masters in Applied Organizational Management from Tusculum College and a Doctorate in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
