Jenny Boyd, MD

Dr. Jenny Boyd is dedicated to advancing healthcare quality and safety through leadership in quality improvement initiatives, such as reducing central line-associated bloodstream infections and developing sedation protocols in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She holds Lean Six Sigma certifications and has modernized credentialing and privileging at UNC Health. Her contributions have earned awards like the Carolina Quality and Safety Team Award and the Super Steward Award. As Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Boyd sets the strategic direction for quality and safety programs at UNC Hospitals, leading multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices and monitor outcomes. She works collaboratively with leadership and staff to promote patient-centered care, organizational excellence, and a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
