Joey Powell is the Executive Director of the Me Fine Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides vital financial assistance and emotional support programs to families who have critically or terminally ill children being treated at local children’s hospitals. In addition to his work with Me Fine, Joey is a father of two children who have been treated extensively at UNC Children’s Hospital. He currently serves on the Children’s Patient and Family Advisory Board, the Children’s Hospital Improvement Council, and is heavily involved with New Nurse Orientation, Hillman Scholar Orientation, and other ad hoc projects around the hospital. He is also a member of the Family Advisory Council of the American Board of Pediatrics. Joey received his BA from UNC and obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Business School
