Kayla is a second-year medical student from Raleigh, NC. She graduated from UNC in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Before starting medical school, Kayla worked as a medical scribe and study coordinator. Her experiences in healthcare and exposure to research methods sparked her interest in Quality Improvement.

Kayla currently volunteers with multiple student-run clinics, including the SHAC Clinic, Hearts for Community Clinic, and the Physicians for Human Rights Clinic. She also serves as a Peer Advocate for Cefalo Advisory College and as an officer for the Student Interest Group in Neurology.
