Memory Dossenbach, is a Clinical Risk Manager for UNC Health, bringing over 30 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant. A graduate of the Duke University PA program, Memory also holds a B.S and M.S from Appalachian State University. During her career, she has practiced clinically in Emergency Medicine, Trauma, and Orthopedics, and has served as the Assistant Medical Director for the NC Medical Board, as well as a faculty member in PA education.
Deeply committed to provider support and well-being, Memory currently chairs the Health Committee for the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA) and will be joining the board of the North Carolina Physicians Health Program (NCPHP) in early 2026. She is passionate about helping providers and staff reduce risk and improve safety in healthcare. Her presentations at state and national conferences focus on enhancing communication and documentation, promoting patient safety, advancing interprofessional education, and fostering teammate well-being.
