Dr. Robb Malone serves as Chief Operating Officer of UNC Health Alliance, where he leads efforts to advance value-based care through innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to improving health outcomes. With a background in clinical pharmacy and population health, Dr. Malone oversees programs that enhance care coordination, quality, and equity across a clinically integrated network of more than 8,500 providers in 52 North Carolina counties.
He has played a key role in developing integrated care models, implementing alternative payment strategies, and building systems that promote sustainable, patient-centered healthcare. His strategic vision focuses on optimizing risk performance, regionalizing care delivery, and expanding access for underserved populations.
Dr. Malone also holds adjunct faculty appointments in the UNC School of Medicine and the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He earned both his Bachelor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
