Sophia is a current 3rd year medical student at the UNC School of Medicine. Originally from Charlotte, NC, she graduated from UNC in 2021 with a degree in Health Policy and Management and a minor in Chemistry. Before medical school, she spent two years in Washington, DC working with Optum’s Advisory Board, where she conducted industry research and advised healthcare organizations on implementing value-based care. She is passionate about promoting efficiency and innovation in healthcare at both the organizational and clinical levels and looks forward to applying the skills she gains from CLQS in her future practice as a physician.
