About

I am a full-time physician at Piedmont Health Services, Siler City Community Health Center. I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States prior to starting Kindergarten. Growing up in West Michigan and receiving care at Health Centers myself, I have always felt a calling to return to underserved communities to provide much needed care. This inspired my pursuit of training at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency, just north of Boston, the first accredited Community Health Center-sponsored Family Medicine Residency in the nation. I am grateful for the opportunity as part of the Rural Health Fellowship to have the time to increase my skills in the use of point of care Ultrasound, specifically around basic prenatal and musculoskeletal exams, along with the time to review the health care delivery model at Siler City to see what changes could be made to improve patient outcomes.
