About
Dr. Kirk’s practice includes consultative general endocrinology and diabetes, with a clinical focus on thyroid disease. She has been active in undergraduate and graduate medical education. She previously served as the director of the endocrine block in the pre-clinical curriculum at the UNC School of Medicine. She currently directs the medical student clinical elective in adult endocrinology in the Individualization Phase, and precepts residents, endocrine fellows, and other medical health professionals in the outpatient setting.
As medical director of the UNC Endocrinology Clinic, Dr. Kirk is dedicated to enhancing clinic access and work flows, physician and provider support, and the overall patient experience. As Associate Chief of Clinical Affairs for the Division, she focuses on recruitment and development of clinical faculty, coordination and growth of endocrine service lines, and optimizing clinical operations.
