About

Sam Griffith is a clinical research coordinator at the UNC Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Obesity Clinical Research Unit. Sam is excited to be working with study participants and directly implementing studies, having spent 18 years mostly behind a desk managing NIH-funded research studies in HIV prevention. Just prior to joining the EnDO team, Sam worked for a pharmaceutical company writing research protocols and regulatory submissions.  Sam has a BA in biology from Williams College and an MA in teaching from Duke University, so in a prior life he was also a high school science teacher. Outside of work, Sam likes playing Ultimate Frisbee, backpacking, woodworking and tutoring.
