Onboarding New Faculty

  2. Read “Making the Most of Mentors: A Guide for Mentees“
  3. Complete the mentee checklist
  4. Complete the Individual Development Plan
  5. Familiarize yourself with the promotion criteria https://www.med.unc.edu/hr/epa-2/faculty-appointments-promotions-and-tenure/
  6. Meet with your mentor in July and January (at a minimum).
  7. Meet with your entire mentoring team in July prior to annual meeting with Division Chief
