Joshua L. Hudson, MD, MSc
Assistant Professor of Medicine
About
Dr. Hudson is a gastroenterologist and clinical educator in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He is UNC’s first “GI Hospitalist” and spends about half of his clinical time caring for patients hospitalized with gastrointestinal disease(s) at UNC Hospital. The remainder of his clinical time is spent performing outpatient endoscopic procedures (particularly colonoscopy for colon cancer screening) and supervising the gastroenterology fellows clinic weekly. In addition to patient care, he is interested in educating trainees and driving quality and process improvement initiatives in the division. While not a “Tar Heel Lifer,” Dr. Hudson has completed all his post-graduate training at UNC and considers UNC his home base.
