About
Shifali Arora is the Vice Chief of Clinical Operations of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Medical Director of the Gastroenterology clinics. She works to improve quality of care, operational efficiency, and patient experiences in the division. Her clinical expertise is in esophageal motility disorders, and she is a part of the Center for Esophageal Diseases and Swallowing. She completed an AAAS Policy Fellowship and NIH Mobile Health Training and has experience in health policy and health IT. Her research is focused on quality improvement at both the division and hospital level. She is a member of the UNC Hospitals Value Care Action group and a UNC Clinician Leadership in Quality and Safety Scholars Program Mentor.
