Third Space Endoscopy & Advanced Endoscopic Resection, Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education
About
Dr. Greenberg is part of the advanced resection & third space endoscopy group at UNC. Originally from Massachusetts, she has since found her professional home at UNC, where she completed all of her post-graduate medical training prior to joining as faculty. This notably includes a unique advanced endoscopy fellowship dedicated to complex resection and third space endoscopy, one of only three in the nation at that time. The goal of our group is to provide surgery-sparing endoscopic interventions for pre-cancerous lesions (including challenging polyps, carcinoid tumors, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors, amongst others) and early cancers within the GI tract using techniques that include endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and endoscopic full thickness resection (EFTR). In addition, we provide advanced endoscopic treatments for achalasia including per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) and pneumatic dilation, as well as endoscopic treatment options for Zenker’s diverticulum.
