About
Dr. Karl’s clinical interests include the medical and endoscopic management of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and microscopic colitis. She strives to use the most up to date evidence to inform clinical decisions for her patients. Dr. Karl’s clinical research interests include the collection, organization, and utilization of observational data and the use of experimental data for comparative effectiveness analyses, decision analyses, and cost-effective analyses. She has particular interests in preventative care and women’s health in IBD. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, backpacking, skiing, reading, and watching movies.
