About
I took a non-traditional path to medicine through the humanities, searching for meaningful work. Care and advocacy for women, people with various life challenges and psychiatric health issues were a part of the journey, and I continue to enjoy caring for these and other ‘non-majority’ populations. I work to put patients at ease so that we can partner to make attainable plans together that incorporate today’s best evidence. I also love to teach and mentor our UNC learners, spend time with family and friends, travel, read, write, swim, hike, watch birds, garden, cook, and do yoga.
