About
My name is Tamara Godfrey (maiden name Saint-Surin). As a primary care physician I enjoy forming long-lasting, collaborative relationships with patients while addressing different aspects of their health. At the Internal Medicine clinic I see patients in my faculty clinic a few days a week, as well as precept residents in their continuity clinic and the same day clinic. I also attend on the inpatient General Medicine ward several weeks a year, teach in the School of Medicine, and work on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. My family is from Haiti but I grew up in Northern Virginia. I knew I wanted to be a Primary Care physician ever since I realized I wanted to practice medicine, as I appreciate the unique opportunity it grants to form long-lasting relationships with patients while addressing different aspects of their health. I look forward to collaborating with and advocating for my patients and their families. In my free time I enjoy traveling, dancing, cooking, reading, watching TV, and spending time with loved ones.
