About
Dr. Rosengren-Hovee is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at UNC. She is a member of the Global UNC Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit and Chapel Hill Clinical Research Site leadership and principal investigator of HIV treatment and prevention clinical trials for UNC-Chapel Hill. She has served on several committees for the Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally (ACTG) network of HIV clinical trials, including the Antiretroviral Therapy Strategies Transformative Science Group, Research Engagement Committee, and the Site Management and Clinical Care Committee. She has focused interests in Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) therapies for HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and engagement of underrepresented communities in clinical trials. Dr. Rosengren-Hovee is the Associate Director of Infectious Diseases and HIV Services for the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections, overseeing clinical care services to incarcerated individuals across North Carolina living with HIV. In the carceral setting, she conducts health disparities research with an emphasis on the urgent implementation of LAI-PrEP delivery and care transitions on community re-entry.
